Sheikh Jamal Ahmad El Chebli was born in Tripoli, Lebanon. He received his academic education at the Islamic University of al-Medina Saudi Arabia, where he got his B.A in Daw’ah and Usul Al-deen, and the University of Kent at Canterbury, England where he got his M.A in Politics and International Relation. While in Lebanon, Imam Chebli got his Islamic Studies Diploma through Al-Azhar School in Beirut. He has served as Imam in many Masajid in Tripoli, Lebanon.

Sheikh Jamal was called by the Islamic society of Greater Harrisburg, PA where he served as an Imam from 1996 to 1998. At the end of 1998 he was selected to serve as an Islamic Chaplain at Pennsylvania Department of Correction in Chester State Correctional facility. 

Imam Jamal Ahmad El Chebli Since 2012 joind the New Jersey Department of Corrections as Muslim Chaplain. in 2017 he was promoted to be the Islamic Chaplains Supervisor in New Jersey State Prison . As well as he is the Resident Imam od Masjid Shuhada in MT Holly, NJ.
